Summary
PixelAnalyzer analyzes photos entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, images, or analysis results to any server or third party.
✓ Zero network requests · ✓ No third-party SDKs · ✓ No accounts required
🚫 Data We Do Not Collect
PixelAnalyzer does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following:
- Photos or images
- Face data or biometric information
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Any personally identifiable information
👤 Face Data
The app uses Apple's Vision framework to detect faces in images you select. The following applies to all face data:
- What is detected: Face bounding box, count, and pose angles (roll, yaw, pitch). No identity or biometric data is derived.
- Purpose: Results are displayed on-screen to you as part of the image analysis only.
- Storage: Face detection results are never written to disk. If you save an analysis to history, only a thumbnail image and basic metadata (date, source) are stored locally on your device.
- Sharing: Face data is never shared with any third party, uploaded to any server, or used for any purpose other than displaying the result to you.
- Retention: On-screen results exist only in memory and are discarded when you leave the screen. Saved history can be deleted at any time from Settings → Delete All Data.
⚙️ On-Device Processing
All analysis is performed locally on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks:
- Vision — face detection, object recognition, text recognition (OCR), barcode scanning
- Core Image / Accelerate — color analysis, histogram, quality metrics
- ImageIO — EXIF metadata extraction
This app makes no network requests of any kind. Your images never leave your device.
🤖 No Third-Party AI Services
PixelAnalyzer does not use any third-party AI or cloud service (such as OpenAI, Google Cloud Vision, AWS Rekognition, or similar). All intelligence features are powered exclusively by Apple's on-device frameworks.
💾 Local Storage
If you choose to save an analysis to history, the following is stored locally on your device using NSUserDefaults:
- A small thumbnail of the image (max 200 × 200 px, JPEG)
- Analysis date and image source label (e.g. "Camera", "Photo Library")
- Dominant color hex values
This data never leaves your device. You can delete all stored data at any time from Settings → Delete All Data.
🔐 Permissions
- Camera: Used only when you tap "Take a Photo". Not accessed at any other time.
- Photo Library (read): Used only when you tap "Choose from Library". Not accessed at any other time.
- Photo Library (write): Used only if you choose to export an annotated image.
- Clipboard: Read only when you tap "Paste from Clipboard". Not accessed automatically.
👶 Children's Privacy
PixelAnalyzer does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since the app collects no data at all, it is safe for all ages.
